Who We Are

Eye-Lingual has a mission to create easily accessible online tools for providers, trainees, and students to assess visual acuity in non-English speaking patients.

Our charts are meant to empower both the providers giving and the patients receiving vision care that is inclusive, appropriate, and thorough. Eye-Lingual’s origin story is rooted in stories from members of our community: whether it be caring for underserved patients through mobile clinics or watching as patients struggled to read signs and lettering during demonstrations and marches. We believe there is an opportunity to not only foster a more personalized approach to vision screening, but one that also allays some of the barriers patients may face when seeking eye and vision care.

As a young, growing team, Eye-Lingual is eager to serve and partner with members of our community in our endeavor to provide open-access tools for equitable and fair vision screening.
